Harvest Moon: Tale of Two Towns First Impression
I decided to give this Harvest Moon a shot since I have recently been playing the newest Harvest Moon, A New Beginning. A Tale of Two Towns reminds me more of the old Gameboy Advanced Harvest Moon game, at least in comparison to A New Beginning.
In this game, you are invited to live in one of two towns both in need of someone to look after a farm. One farm is more animal centered and the town is more European, while the other farm is more focused on crops and the town is very oriental. Your main goal is to get these two towns to eventually become friends with each other again.
The one thing I've noticed is that the beginning moves very slowly. The text animation is slow along with explanations on how to do different things in the game, especially if you are already familiar with the Harvest Moon game series, and many of these explanations aren't skippable. However, it isn't nearly as slow moving or restricted as Harvest Moon: A New Beginning.
However, aside from the slow moving pace of learning new functions, the game is much like the other games in it's series. You build relationships with people in the city, try to take care of your animals to improve their products, and gather things out in the wilderness to use or ship to earn money.
So far, I'm enjoying the game. I haven't played very far into the game yet, but it is definitely promising and definitely reminds me more of the old Harvest Moon game I loved so much.
I review Harvest Moon: A New Beginning HERE
